Dini Campbell Tjampitjinpa was born just to the west of Jupiter Well. At the time his family were living a traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle. The artist passed through the traditional initiation ceremonies while still ‘in the bush’, and as a young man went into Balgo Community. He joined the painting movement in 1982 after watching other artists at work.

The site of Palipalintja, situated in sand hill country to the west of Jupiter Well, is represented in this work. A group of Tingari Men made camp at this claypan, where there is a small rockhole. This work is an outstanding example of Tingari painting, where an intensity of visual information evokes the hundreds of sites created by these great ancestors on their creative journeys. Because of the secret nature of the ceremonies associated with the Tingari Cycle, no further specific detail about this site can be revealed.
