“Born and raised in Cherbourg, I am proud to be an Elder, community leader and storyteller.
My life has been interwoven with acts of service, creativity and unwavering positivity. After living around Australia I returned to Cherbourg, bringing with me my experiences and a deep commitment to community. In 2019 I was appointed to the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council, where I served with dedication until the next election.
My sewing machine is more than a tool; it’s a vessel of happiness, connection, and pride. Through my sewing, I celebrate culture, create garments for special moments, and pass on skills with laughter and love. My involvement in projects like the Many Threads initiative at The Ration Shed Museum highlights my passion for sharing positive stories and inspiring others.
This sewing machine has stitched love into every piece. It’s more than thread and fabric. It’s memory, family, and joy.”
